My PG house
Thursday, November 22nd, 2007Most of my friends know that my bf has a condo in Putra Place PG. We actually obtained the OC December 06, but only finalised the interior designer and also the renovation design after chinese new year 07.
While waiting for the renovation, we did the painting of the house ourselves, and take our sweet time to shop for furnitures, accessaries, neccesities, eletrical goods, decor… etc. The renovation took about 2 months, which ended around April 07. But we still continue to take our snail pace to do shoppings… hehe… it is until recently that I can say we have eventually bought most of the things for the house, with still 1-2 pieces still under survey. We can almost celebrate one year anniversary on house reno and decor… haha…
Many of my good friends have visited my new house. Jovell, Jo, Da-Niu & S26 kid, ah Wong, Jeremy & Beau-ti-ful & baby Jerelin, Roy & his Moon/Sunshine, bf’s colls, cousin bro Jeff and friend Kamar.. am so glab that you guys like the house.. (well, I doubted if you dare to say not nice! ) (I’ll throw you out of my windy balcony! Let you swim from the big long kang to Pulau Jerejak.) In fact, Jeremy’s beautiful house is my role-model. So special thanks to Beau-ti-ful for letting me know the tricks and idea before my renovation.

The Renovation
——————-
Talking about the renovation, since it is a tiny 1000 sq feets condo, we are very careful not to make the place too crowded. We were then decided to have interior designer to custom make the master bedroom warbdrobe, dry & wet kitchen cabinets and shoe+storage cabinets. This would fully utilise the space compare to buying ready-made.

The laundry & ironing corner, whole thing got it from Ikea.
The black and white cabinet we bought it from Mekio, Gurney Plaza. Bf likes it a lot coz he can display his favourite collections there.

My romantic dressing table. Wanna have a simple and not so bulky, not so space-taking one. Everything from Ikea… hehe… I even bought a bar stool to match with it.
The other photo, taken from siting on bar stool looking towards living room, of course, that’s the living room before furniture.

We were wondering should we get the wooden divider, or the bamboo blind divider. Wooden divider (left) costs RM180. Bamboo blind one (right) RM499 from Mekio. In the end, we chose the bamboo one. Why, coz I like that better, more special.

Some times I’m too used to shopping in Jaya Jusco, I didn’t realise that Pakson also got many nice thing. These are the beautiful pots/vases I saw in Pakson Ipoh. All reduced to clear with 70% discount. I bough one in green colour with Rm10, it actually look like green apple skin (so amazing, it just plastic u know), and you can see it’s now being displayed on the black and white cabinet in my house. Scroll up and look more careful and you will find it!

I thot can add some greenery to the house without me having to water them (I plant cactus also die one). But expensive! ( I didn’t buy it)
…………………………………………………………………….
I like the Giraffe so much! whole thing is wooden.. so artistic.. me and bf at first wanna make the house theme = art galery. hehe… anyway, I didn’t buy it la.. even the smallest one costs RM200+.

From Pakson again, wanted to put on my kitchen window to add feel of softness. Actually I prefer the checked one, but they were all sold out due to Hari Raya, so no choice I only able to get the plain one. I still haven’t put it up yet.

Am still preparing the guest room. Will post it here later when I got it ready……
